Christmas Tree

November 24, 2006

I’ve had the same pitiful Charlie Brown-like artificial Christmas tree for nearly ten years. I’m done with stringing up the lights and so I’m on the lookout for a pre-lit or fiber optic tree to make my life simple. I’ve already checked ACE and found nothing.

I’ll be checking True Value and AtoZ later. Any other suggestions?

  1. I was thinking about getting a pre-lit one myself this year. I’m not sure what you have across your way, but I think that I am going to (GULP) go to (GULP) Kmart and get one of those pre-lit Martha Stewart ones. I am very particular about the way the lights look on my tree, and EVERY year I go into flip out Kerrie mode when they don’t come out perfect……

  2. Hey, a pre-lit Martha Stewart Christmas tree sounds awesome! I’ll have to check it out online to see what it looks like. Not only do I hate putting the lights on the tree, but it’s the taking them out and putting them away that really sucks too.

P.S. Take pictures and send, please. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I am seeing some gorgeous trees at Midas, but I don’t know if they are pre-lit or even for sale. Have you looked at The One? They usually have wonderful, fun things for “seasonal” decor. And I saw a huge tree. . . somehwere . . .hmmmm. . . ..

  4. had some nice ones at Sultan center in Salmyia but I don’t think that they were prelit. I haven’t seen any in Kuwait. Try ordering one online from the states?

  5. I thought about getting a prelit tree, but I just wondered how long the lights would last and what would happen if they burned out? So I got a fake unlit tree.
I’ve always had a real tree and I’m really sad to stop that tradition, but I can not stand the mess anymore!

  6. Intlxpatr – I love The One. One of my Christmas traditions is to go there and pick out a Christmas tree ornament.

Becca – I don’t even want to think about how much it would be to ship one over from the States. Waaaay too expensive.

Angela – Tsk! Tsk! But I understand about the mess. I’m not sure if I would get a real one if I was back in the States. And, funny – I had the same thought about the lights burning out on a pre-lit tree. What then?

  7. I know it, not very New England of me, eh? ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe next year I’ll get a real tree, when I’m no longer living on the second floor and having to hike it up all the stairs.
